It's a fun fun day!

One of the programs that i had lined up for the boys to do during the very long break was to bake.

I have seen schools offering baking classes to the young ones, so i thought why don't i conduct one myself instead of paying the school to do what i know though there will be some difference of course. [between baking in the school and baking at home with mommy]

What i did was to prepare the dough in advance minus the boys' help.

After that, it was hands off for me.. totally.

And it meant just that, totally hands off for me.

The boys did the kneading [slightly], rolling, stamping etc themselves.

All by themselves.. with a little help from the helper though.

And i?

Just standing around, trying NOT to give any instructions at all which i managed to successfully *grin*, carrying the baby and watched the boys have fun or rather, watched the boys fret mostly over their difficulty in stamping the cookies and trying to get the dough out in one piece. Heh.

Nevertheless, i was rather impressed with the results.

Sure. There were some disfigured Hello Kitties. There were also some disfigured Stars, Hearts and not to mention.. the broken giant Star and Gingerbread Man.

But what matters more is that the boys had fun which they claimed they did and they loveeeeeeeed the cookies to bits!

The hint of the orange zest in these butter cookies was very refreshing.

Initially, i wanted them to continue on with decorating/piping using the icing with colours but by the time the cookies were baked, all of us were very much worn out.

So, that was that. No further decorating/piping.

Saturday is the fun fun day!

Not the previous Saturday but 2 Saturday ago of course!

After the boys' art class at UE2, i decided to just chill out a little and let the boys have some fun before dinner.

But before that, it's hair cutting for the 2 younger ones. A very much needed cut! Now i don't have to keep repeating that beep is a boy, not a girl.. :P

Beep who refused to be cooperate. It was real tough! U can never imagine man... The amount of silly entertainment i did was enough to last me for 1 month! Lol.

After the painful hair cutting session, i took the boys to Laurent's Chocolate bar and cafe at Robertson Walk.

It was really good. The chocolate was awesome but i think they could be slightly more generous with the chocolate for the in between layers... The chocolate sponge was really good though. However, it didn't quite feel like chocolate truffle cake. More like just a very rich dark chocolate cake?

I like Robertson Walk. It's a very nice place to go on a Saturday evening. Quiet, breezy, cooling, peaceful and plenty of space for the kids to just run wild and not having me to worry about them bumping into things or being out of sight.. very very nice.

It's a place where i can bring a book to read while the helper sits down and help to look after the boys.. and the plus point will be good cakes!

I like.

The boys who got recharged after downing the chocolate cake + a cuppa ice chocolate but then, they never really ran out of battery before y'know..

It was a lovely Saturday.. and i'm pretty sure we'll do more of this very soon :)

It's a fun fun day!

Bestie and i planned to surprise the kids by bringing them for the Duck Tour on Children's Day. Imagine me struggling.. It is a very hard thing for me. Not telling the boys where i'm bringing them that is.

Because i know, they love love love and been wanting to go for the Duck Tour for the longest time.

What a tough time indeed..

When we finally reached the counter at Suntec, they turned to ask me if i was bringing them for the Duck Tour. Yes yes yes! They jumped and screamed with joy... :)

Bestie and i met at the counter together with her brood. The kids met and it was hard not to stare because they were so high! Lol.

We wanted to go for the 10am tour but it was fully booked. The next available one was at noon. We had no choice but to go for that. The 11am one was also fully booked. I never knew that the Duck Tour can be this hot! Heh.

With an extra 2 hours on hand, it spelled headache for the mommies. Instead of walking around, we pigged out. Something that everyone enjoys :P

It was really tough to get good pictures with the children around. It is as good as not taking any! Mothers with more than 1 child will know that for sure. Or if you've got nieces/nephews, you will know it too! Put 3 children or more together from different family, you will get double headache. Haha..

All in all, it was truly a fun fun day. Till today, the boys are still talking about it *smile*.

So it was a right decision after all, to pick the Duck Tour rather than the MacRitchie Tree Top Walk.. :D [but i am definitely gonna do that on the next available holiday!]

Our almost-weekend

First and foremost, thank You for such a wonderful weather which i'd previously prayed for. My prayer was indeed answered. Just for that 2 days that we needed it to play.

And now, it's back to rain sun rain sun rain but mostly rain again.

It was my first 'holiday' with the boys, by the sea.


I had fun. So did the boys i'm sure :)

If you were to ask me, what is 'xin fu' or 'hang fok' [blissful]?

Abit obscene i know especially that they are boys but me like!

3 small boys and me.

A sight that is not uncommon in the household. We do this a lot and usually, the top most will fall and scream with laughter. Then a mad fight between the 2 elder boys for the spot on top of me. Ha!

The little one will remain at the bottom, not squashed of course. Enjoying his view on top before he decides that he has enough and start protesting.



A very beautiful evening at the park. Quiet and peaceful. Awesome weather. Nice.

We even saw tadpoles at the side of the road. Too much water from the grass. The last time i'd seen a tadpole gotta be when i was 8! I was catching them at the longkang with a couple of childhood friends back in my kampong days.

The boys were pretty excited about them. The tadpoles were literally swimming away of us whenever our hands go near them. We just squat at the side of the road and started playing 'catching' with them. Giggling and more giggling from us seeing them running havoc-ly. Cute.

Then at the park, well.. i guess if you were to know me by now, i'm not the sort of mother who will just supervise :P

The boys didn't manage to climb to the top. Tough stuff i must say. But for the boys, it was mostly because they were too short. Hehe. The gap between one rope to another was hugeeee.. Seeing me so high up, they were like -> "mommy, be careful! mommy, you so clever leh! mommy, help me!"

Sometimes, i think i'm too playful to be their mother you know. Lol. Other mothers who were there were like :O and O.o hahhaaha.. Serious! So paiseh!



All in all, i really enjoyed myself. Can't wait for the next 'holiday' with the boys! :)

Poor hb.. still in reservist. But hb did come to visit at night for a couple of hours before booking in again.

Beepbeep who just stayed put in the stroller. He has got 8 teeth already at a mere age of 7 months old!

Scrooge the Musical

The boys, hb and i will be watching this come end of November. Yay!!

I've always wanted to do/ go/ watch something Christmas-sie whenever X'mas is around the corner. I wanna feeeeel X'mas. And i want the boys feel it too :)

This musical is suitable for 5 years old and above and i heck care ah. Didi the 3 yrs old is going with us too! But sadly, not beepbeep though coz infants are not allowed. Moreover, beepbeep still doesn't know anything! Heh.

Living in a tropical country all my life (the 2 yrs in Down Under not counted ok because X'mas there is in SUMMER!), i wish that before i'm all old and frail, i will have the chance to spend at least 1 X'mas in a snow blanketed cottage with chimney and wood burning inside, tucked away in a small village and with me preparing the X'mas dinner and baking away..

Ahh.. bliss.

Ahh.. day dreaming! Too many movies already! :P

NDP special

I wanted to do something different with the boys on the National Day.

Instead of the usual fish ball noodles with the husband, i decided to bring the boys to the National Museum. Read it was having free admission on that particular day and there were a couple of interesting programmes lining up for the family.

So off we went without the husband / daddy.

And later, i saw them moved too! Think there are specific timings that they do. Really beautiful.

We went there around noon and i thought we would be early since the events only start at 10am but my guess was so wrong!

By the time we reached, most of the programmes' openings were all fully 'chopped'. The only thing that we could still do was face painting and off the boys went to q, by themselves for close to 45 mins!

When we were in the midst of the face painting session, we got a lovely surprise from the husband who dropped by unannounced after telling me he was going home after his brunch. Grin.

The boys with the many paintings, even the baby has 1 done of his chubby cheek! Pardon my very unglam posture. Haha.. it was the only posture i could think of the be able to capture all 3 boys with their paintings :P

After the face painting, then only it was visit-the-museum-time. But gosh, the q to the main gallery was horrendous! We ended up visiting the other 4-no-q-galleries which didn't have that much of a thing to see.

As for the main gallery, think i rather pay to visit than to wait for another 45mins just to enter. Heh. Simply too scary! Cannot imagine q-ing in that snake-like-q. For all you know, it might not be just 45 mins as predicted by the person in charge.. but more than an hour instead, right?

So, no thank you! :P

I guess it was fun for the boys. Their first time attending the same class together, sitting next to each other. So heart warming. So cute :D

Sushi for the boys, but they are not store-bought though. They are made by me :)

My second attempt on sushi..

But i got the soybean pockets from Meidi-Ya, came in a pretty packet in 16 for $6.90 if i remember correctly. Inari is the boys' favourite sushi of all. I bought 2 packets and it expires only end of the year. Cool yeah? Can keep!


The husband who got quite disgusted when he was told that my sushi is the dinner that night requested for his very-boring minced meat porridge.

But guess what?

The husband was also the first person to steal my sushi before everything was done. After each design was finished, he casually strolled over, looked at the sushi and picked and pop'em into the mouth! *roll eyes*

And i, casually told him there isn't enough for him. Hahahaha... coz I made just enough for ourselves (boys, helper and i).

Serve him right!

But being the very kind, sweet, nice wife (yeah yeah, i know.. am already passing the vomit bag around :P), i gave 1 of each design to the husband :)

And after that, i casually asked hb how was the sushi and hb casually told me, 'ok lah.. *kotobuki's standard lor'. HEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

*kotobuki is hb's favourite Jap restaurant

Fun fun place : miumiu's house + Bukit Timah Nature Reserve's playground + impromptu visit to Mila's house :P

Miumiu's mommy was gonna moved out that weekend. So i thought of bringing the boys to see miumiu the very adorable bunny for the very last time because after that, miumiu's new house will be in the East already. Sniffs. So sad.. :(

Last Saturday at IMM new playground.

After i threatened to leave, boy2 reluctantly joined in but still refused to get wet

Finally, boy2 is wet and having some fun! (much to my relieve *phew* Boy2 is just too not-outgoing)
