Cuppies sale II

Have you ever met a buyer who kept telling you this when you are selling something?

.Make sure you are earning some money from my purchase!
.Do remember to include your transportation fee yeah!
.Make sure you really are making some profit (again)!

Soooooooo sweet hor?

Of course i got touched!

Initially, i wanted to bake 3 packets of cookies for her when i do my delivery yesterday. Unfortunately, because i was experimenting with the new buttercream, i ran out of butter and time didn't permit to do anymore baking as well. Sigh.

Oh well, next time!, i vowed.

Celest's order :)

I'm so so happy to see their ecstatic faces when they opened the cake boxes when i delivered to Celest's office. I couldn't stop smiling.

Silly me! Heh..

ETA : Woweee.. my happy customer gave me $2 tips! HAhahahahahhaha :pppPPppP

A very funny husband

I think i have the weirdest husband of all..

On this particular day after our visit to hb's friend baby full month celebration, hb said this..

Hb : Do you notice that all my friends' wives do not dress up?
Me : Yeah, abit..

Hb : Why do you then?
Me : Do i? I just wear more appropriate clothings that's all (fyi, i was just wearing a tee and a knee length berms). I don't really dress up wat.. What i wear today costs less than $100 in total, including my bag okay!
Hb : But your belt colour matches your shoes and bag's colour.
Me : *silent*
Hb: I notice most of those decent, educated, working women don't really dress up, like these Hwa Chong's students (hb, hb's friends and hb's friend's wives were from HC)
Me : You prefer me to look like them?
Hb : Yeah..
Me : You saying i'm not decent nor educated huh?
Hb : Yeah.. (really trying to be funny)
Me : *slap hb's arm and thigh. Oh-bee*

*faint*

That's not all!

Hb also prefers me to be overweight. He prefers me with post natal weight. The more (kg) the merrier!

I honestly think hb prefers me to look like ah soh. Can you imagine?

Seriously, do you know any man like this?

What a funny husband.. *kabish*

Note : i realised it's not that hb's friends' wives don't dress up or not put in effort. It's just that they wear clothings that are not their size so they ended up looking not dress up. Get what i mean?

eg : Jeans and a tee.. everyone wears that but if one is not wearing the right size and another does, the contrast will be as great as black and white..

My naked durian cake

For this cake, i spent $40 on the durian itself! *gasp*

What durians and how many did i buy?

2 D24 durians which housed only 12 miserable seed durians. That's like almost $4 each! Luckily they taste pretty good but i only got to eat 1 because the rest was used for making durian cream and that also was not enough for the recipe! Gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The cake was meant for Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, my sponge cake failed on me on that particular day! *sniffs* So potong steam you know..

I was using a new recipe for the sponge cake you see.. and till now, i have no idea why it failed in the first place. The only reason i could think of is i under baked them.

I'd be trying again though, to determine the reason! Heh.

Due to the failed sponge cake, the fathers got to eat this only the next day. This time, i used a tried and tested sponge cake recipe because i didn't want the durian cream (which i've already made the day before) to go wasted just in case i fail again :P

To add more oommpphhh, i mixed in 2 tbsp of rum to the durian cream.

It became sweet and bitter at the same time. Very nice! :P

However, hb thinks the cake was so-so only due to the sponge cake. He dislikes the sponge alot. The critic commented that the sponge cake texture was too heavy. It over shadowed the durian cream. So it's like the main actor got less role playing time than the supporting actor in a show. Heh.

And you know what?

I think hb is pretty spot on because that was how i felt too even though the rest was thumbs up! :P

Oh, why naked durian cake? Because they are not dressed up in cream and decoration! Been having too much cakes lately.. Need to watch my waistline!

Washing sponge?

When i saw this photo on the PC, guess what was the first thing did i do?

Cheeky me asked boy1 to guess what this is and he gave me an answer which i have expected to hear.

A washing sponge!

The one that auntie (my helper) uses to wash the dishes.

Heh..

A good try i must say but it's not.

It's my bread!

Finally....

A very successful loaf of bread using the bread machine.

All along, i was always telling others how lousy my $300 bread machine is. We bought it nearly 6 years ago when the first bread machine was sold in the departmental store. The bread the machine makes always turns out dense and too wet. The recipe i used comes with the bread machine. I've never thought of trying other recipes merely because i thought the recipes that came with it should be the best for the machine. How stooopeeed of me! Lol.

Last month when i received my monthly newsletter from Kenwood which was having bread making class using bread machine, i signed up for it almost immediately. The main intention was to check out the bread made using the bread machine and also to obtain the recipe if it's nice. And boy, it was NICE!

Better than the ones in the bakery! Maybe because i ate them fresh from the oven.. er, bread machine i mean.

Conclusion : It's not my bread machine that is lousy. It's the owner!!! :P

Sharing my yummilicious white bread loaf recipe using the bread machine, from Kenwood Bread making class ->

(Because i want you to have freshly baked bread in the morning too. The smell when it's baking away while you are sleeping is like a dream and a very good wake up call! :P)

300ml water
50g butter
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
225g bread flour
225g plain flour
2 tbsp milk powder
1 1/2 tsp yeast

1. Pour ingredients into the bread pan according to sequence.
2. Select programme. Press start. (i use basic and sometimes dark crust)
3. Do not open the lid when the dough is rising.
4. When the bread is done, it should be taken out from the bread pan immediately to prevent shrinking and sweating of bread.

Last but not least, hope you'll enjoy the bread as much as i do! :)

Eeeekk!

Last week i had the chance to attend a 2 days cake decoration class.

A demo class and also a hands on class.

It was pretty fruitful. Now i know how to pipe rose already *yipee* and of course, smoothen fresh cream on the cake without struggles anymore *i hope i still could!* :P

However, it was an eye opening to me..

In what sense you wonder...

Well, it's behind the kitchen scene.

I don't think i can look at the cakes on display in the bakery in the same wow thought anymore. When i see how the decoration was being done, i was like, or rather we were like.. gowd, i'm so not gonna eat that cake! You sure it's edible?

The fresh cream they use and the chocolate.. hmm... can be quite not hygienic. It was the re-use part that gave us the scare. You should see the chocolate box man.. *faintssss*

It really makes one think twice before buying from bakeries in the future. So geli!

However, because of the class, i got to know 4 very nice lady. It was greaaaatt meeting them ; Elyn, xan, siti and zu.

They made the class so much more fun than it was :D

Real looking scones finally..

Remember my cookies lookalike scones? That was a funny one wasn't it? Hehe..

Anyway, i've finally done it right on my second attempt. The secret is to use the right cream *wink*

My golden cream scones

It's round and puffed up too!

I love this scones to bits!!

It's ridiculously addictive and delicious! Once u start eating, you can hardly stop. The aroma, the buttery taste, the slightly crispy on the outside and crumbly on the inside and yet not drying texture are really the main factors why i love them so much.

My self conscious sister who has a problem with eating snacks and anything fattening couldn't help but ate 2 of them. It is that irristable! :P

Scones with raisins.. Yums!

I prefer the scones with raisins than chocolate chips though. Taste more proper.. Heh.

Cupcakes sold!

Sometimes i really think i'm an extremely daring person.

I have only baked cupcakes twice in my entire life and yet, i actually dare to take up my gf's challenge to sell her my cuppies for her farewell giveaway on her last day of work yesterday! Can you just imagine if my cuppies turned out all wrong and inedible?

Or if the buttercream which i did last time couldn't be replicate?

I would be so dead!

Just one sentence from her and i said okay. She said,
i trust you Sherie.. and i was sold! Hahaha..

Nonetheless, fyi, she has eaten my cuppies before from here :P

Thankfully all went well, except erm.. at the last minute, i couldn't find my piping nozzle which i intended to use for a specific design. Hence, out came the blue cuppie design, wave with little candies on top which was a tad time consuming and my gf finds the colour abit odd too! Lol.

However, the rest of us were quite taken by its colour though. Us = me, helper and the little boys lah.. Helper thinks of it as an ocean with little colourful boats on it. But then again, maybe that shouldn't count aye? Since boys simply lurvee blue.. :P

The huge cuppie was meant for my gf whom specifically requested for TONS of cream. Her instruction was a simple one..

"Sherie, if you have any leftover of your cream, just dump all in yeah?"

But of course, i didn't do that lah.. i piped hers last. So, all the extra pink buttercream went to her :)

And these special 6 were meant for a very very nice, kind, good, thoughtful girl, imp. Unfortunately, it was a last minute thingie so the cuppies didn't reach her due to some unforeseeable circumstances.

Such as the boys and my helper ate them in the morning before i woke up thinking that it was ok to do so since i brought them home again after wanting to deliver them the night before :P

2 big boxes for the gf and 1 small box for the good person - almost!

I really enjoy doing cuppies. Love doing designs and decorating. Love giving my brain a bit of exercise now and then! :P

Mango mousse cake II

My first attempt was not a successful one, in my opinion that is.

I was determined to get it right. So i baked another one.

The dissected cake

However, i'm still not satisfied with the result despite the fact that i whisked the whipping cream to only soft peaks. The mousse still turned out like fresh cream with mango puree but definitely better than the first attempt though.

The only comfort i found was my in laws love it to bits! My sister in law especially. Lol.

Like i said earlier, i'm still not satisfied so there will be another last attempt for me to make it right. This time, i will not even bother to whisk the heavy cream anymore. Just pour and mix! IF the result is still not what i've expected, i won't be doing it anymore.

Eat till very jelak liao :P

Strawberry marshmallow cake

When the craze started for this cake, it was months ago but i only got the chance to do it recently. I'm always late in keeping myself up with the latest trend! :P

This cake doesn't use flour nor cream cheese. It uses marshmallow instead! Clever huh.. whoever the creator is.

Basically, you do not need any baking skills to do this cake. It's just boil, melt, pour and set :)

It is made up of 3 layers. The bottom being the crushed digestive with butter, the second layer is the marshmallow and last but not least, strawberry jelly.

Nice colour combination yeah? *wink*

Because this was my first attempt, i didn't know that i had to cut the strawberries quite thinly so that the jelly could cover it. In the end, i used up the whole box of the jelly mixture when the recipe calls for only half the box and yet the strawberries still can be seen protruding from the jelly. Paiseh ah! :P

This is how it looks like inside. More strawberries slices inside but that is optional.

Hb didn't even wanna try eating this cake after seeing it. He's not a fan of jelly b.u.t the kids were crazy over it especially the jelly part. One man's poison is indeed another boy's meat aye? Heh.

And myself, i'm pretty neutral. Don't hate it nor love it. It's pretty alright :)

Recipe (adapted from Hugbear)
Strawberry Marshmallow Cake

Base
180-200 gm digestive biscuits
60-80 gm melted butter

Crushed digestive biscuits and mix well with melted butter. Press into a 8” tin. Refrigerate.

200 ml of whipping / heavy cream

1/2 pkt of raspberry Jello (i used the whole box)
200 ml of water

Baileys cream sugee cake

I know there aren't many butter cake fans out there especially so with girls because the first thing that crosses our mind when the word 'butter cake' is mentioned would be f.a.t.t.e.n.i.n.g!

But i'm one of the few exceptions i think.. :P

I love butter cakes to death. I can eat it everyday and not feel bored or 'jelak'.

However, i'm pretty picky. I only like the old fashion type which would be slightly crumble, coarse texture, moist yet dry (does it make sense to you? :P), extremely rich (read : very fattening) and with a dash of rum is must.

Last time when i have not started baking, i used to fancy the 'BreadTalk' kind : soft, moist, melt in the mouth but not anymore. Too boring! (no offence to BreadTalk fans yeah?)

So when i came across this recipe, i knew it was a must do for me. Not sure if you can group this under butter cakes but i would very much like to think so because it does taste like one except that this is more power!

More grainy and coarse yet moist.. Simply out of this world! In my humble opinion that is.. :P

Like many butter cakes, its appearance is unassuming but its flavour and texture are unparalleled.

What makes this cake unique from other normal butter cakes lies in its ingredient. Just as the name suggested, this cake uses semolina and flour. Not just flour itself.

Personally, i feel baileys is pretty good with the cake but i think rum would be a better choice.

See how grainy it is?

Terribly fan-tas-ti-ca! I am sooooooooooo hooked!

Mom's the best!

If i can only pick one person out of so many to cook for me for the rest of my life, i would pick my mother :)

To me, she's the best cook there is. Whatever she cooks, it always turns out fantastic. What's more is that she doesn't stint on ingredients nor toppings like i do (most of the time actually especially when it's only us who are eating). Plus she makes sure her food all look presentable and nicely garnish (with parsley, spring onion etc) even though it's only for her own family.

Sometimes or rather most times, she even chooses her toppings and ingredients based on their colour so that her dishes will look pretty!

Power right? Lol. So much effort put in you know...

I did ask her this question once sometime back -> Ma, why do you always wanna 'dress up' your dishes when it's only us who are eating?

Her answer?

So that it will look more appealing and appetizing and most importantly, it makes her happy..

Guess i gotta learn a thing or two aye? Heh.

Last week when i was back, she cooked one of my favourites which is lao shu fen, my mommy's style :)

As usual, mothers and their vegetables. See how much vege she gave me? *faint* :P

Again, i asked her why were there so many kind of fishballs when they literally taste the same?!?!?

Normal fishball, then the fishball with brown skin and sliced fish cake!

Answer from the mother : I like loh.. *me smack forehead*

I could really sluuurrrrppp this up! So 'slippery'!

Oh god... posting this makes me drool and crave big time..

I want my mommy now!!

Lol.

White water rafting

Continuing from my incomplete entry the other day..

So yup, after our caving and lunch, we continued on to white water rafting. Initially, we were supposed to do the rafting before caving but due to the raining season, the activities got switched.

Our car was parked at the entrance of the Gua Tempurung. To get to Gopeng Nature Resort where our starting point for the rafting is, transportation is provided. We went on the way we were, as in no new change of clothings. Wet throughout. The vans were well prepared though. There were plastic sheets on the seats protecting the cushion. Guess that was the 'tradition'? (for continuing the trip without changing) :P

The weather was surprising fantastic that day. No sun and the water level was just nice. In fact, it drizzled a little but stopped after a while. There were 5 of us. Just nice for 1 raft plus 1 guide. Exactly the way we like it. Our guide picked us though. Think he likes us. Haha.. Got to know him before the start of our caving, chatting and joking happily with him. A very sporty person i must say.

We were made to carry our raft from the resort right to the river bank. It wasn't an easy task mind you. The raft looks light but i promise you, it wasn't!

Very heavy actually.

Waiting for our turn to go into the water. We were the last to go even though we arrived first

Safety talk was given before starting. Listening to the talk somehow made me sweat all over. Literally.

Very scary. My heart really went thump thump thump F.A.S.T!

Especially when we were told what to go IF the raft gets capsized. Or when we accidentally fall into the river at the rapid part of the river. Or the way we must remember to let go of the raft line and not hold on to it but apply body rafting to save ourselves.

Without realising it, i felt myself shaking a little.

I was scared.

Moreover, hb was not around to save me if anything were to happen. My husband my protector. My protector who coincidentally happens to be a certified life guard too. And he was not around.

How not to be scared right?

I silently prayed for our safety. Funny but i was excited at the same time too! :P

Right before our raft gets pushed into the river. Can't tell that i was scared right? :P

This is exactly how our rafting looks like during the rapid. That exciting

I fell twice.

Or rather 1 and the half times?

The first half fall was a shocking one. Didn't expect it to happen that fast. My guide who arranged me to sit next to him made me fall on purpose, at the rapid part.

The raft moved forward and down a little 'waterfall' diagonally backwards with me being the most high risk to fall in and i did, half of me did. My first half got plunged into the river but my hands were still holding tight to the raft line and my paddle.

So how did i fall? Or maybe i should say, how to not fall? The raft line i was holding was on my left and i was going left and down. So how to not fall in yeah? (if u get what i'm saying that is :P)

Somehow i couldn't get back up no matter how i tried. I was that deep in. And i couldn't go whole body into the river as well. I was practically stuck.

To save me, my guide lost his paddle which the raft in front of us managed to retrieve it for him. He was very quick to pull me out again. The very cold water certainly managed to jolt the shites out of me. Lol. Both my elder sisters (who sat in front of me) were frantically shouting my name and helped me get back to my position again. Think i got everyone panicked for a moment. Heh.

But i was fine. Didn't drink any water nor did i hurt myself either. I was really fine. I still managed to have that silly grin on my face whilst i got pulled out. The only thing that was not fine was the cold water. Brrrrrrrrrrr...

Guess i was the winner for our trip.. for being the first one to fall in to the river :P

All rafts stopped halfway during the rafting. Mainly for us to have some fun, splashing and taking pictures

After that, i fell in again. This time, a total fall. But i was not the only one though. Everyone on the left did. My sister's bf, my eldest sis and me. And again, it was done on purpose. Didn't i say my guide was a real sporting chap? Heh.

When we reached a slightly calmed part, i was asked by my guide if i was game to go to the chamber (guide calls it chamber, which means the very front of the raft) and do a 'Rose' (Kate Winslet in Titanic at the 'you jump, i jump' part) but a sitting Rose.

I sat at the chamber with my legs dangling out in the water and 1 hand up in the air. You cannot imagine how many countless times my sisters shouted for me to be careful man.. Grin. Later on when our raft got stucked, we were asked if we wanna continue on with body rafting and we were all game for it!

Basically, we took turns to jump into the river and float on our back, moving forward with the help of the current.

It was indeed the best trip i have ever had for a long long time. We really enjoyed ourselves to the very max. Fun and exciting. A must do for everyone, at least once in your lifetime :D

But please, do not be put off by this entry of mine. It is really quite an experience. As for safety concerns, let's just say if a 5 years old kid could go on it, how dangerous could it be aye? We have kids as young as 5 and elderly as old as 50 something.

To convince you further, we were the only raft that did the body rafting and we were the only ones who fell into the river out of 7 rafts in the trip. It all depends on you and your guide. If there are kids or elderlies, the guide will be more careful and avoid all the more rapid parts. No stunts will be pulled.

For ourselves, our guide and us kinda have a mutual understanding before starting. We were all very game for a more exciting ride and he was game enough to give it to us. One thing that we didn't do was to ask to do a capsized raft. We totally forgotten about it! Arghh..

My youngest sister who didn't fall into the river was pretty disappointed. Falling into the river was really the highlight for the rafting. If you didn't, it would only be half the fun. Serious!

So, what's next for me?

Rafting at KKB (Kuala Kubu Bahru at Selangor) and caving at Gua Kandu in Perak in December. A more challenging one for both. I can hardly wait!

And you know what else i realised?

I feel equally safe with my sisters as when i am with my husband. I never knew our love was up to that level. I can really tell how much they care for me especially when i had my first fall. The panic look on their faces, their reactions and them calling my name frantically like a mad man were priceless.

As for the husband, i don't need you anymore, darling! Hahahahahahaa... Just joking hor! :P

My very first..

cake sale! :)

And also my very first self earned $$$ after almost a decade...

It feels so darn good to earn my own $$ again.. Heh.

But of course, the money IS for me to keep albeit the cost and all are paid using *ahem* the husband's money. Hohohohohoho :P

So what did i sell?

Chocolate truffle cake of course.. to Miss Y :)

I pray and hope Miss Y and friends will love it as much as i do. Thank you Miss Y for your support *wink*

There's another cake to do tomorrow for my gfs. And 2 cupcakes order by end of this month. It is, indeed a good beginning for me :)

I like this pace. 1-3 orders per week. Excellent!

If the orders keep coming in that is.. Lol :P

Caving

I was away for a week, from Wednesday till 2 days ago with my 3 boys and helper.

It was an impromptu trip actually. Everything was done last minute. What prompted this trip was all because of me, myself and i. Grin.

The main reason for me to go back to KL was to go for white water rafting and caving trip in Perak. Initially, it was meant for me and hb. But as usual, hb couldn't make it due to work commitment so my youngest sis replaced hb.

Then when i told my second sis about it, she wanted to go too! Unbelievable.. the girlie, city girl, brand conscious sister was game for it! Lol. After that, my youngest sis' bf insisted on joining as well. If so many are going, why not all then? :P

I went on to tell my 2 other sisters but 1 couldn't make it as she had to attend a wedding that day plus she has gone before. For a moment, my mother wanted to join too! But we didn't allow coz she doesn't know how to swim. Heh.

For this trip, i was the organiser but the reality is, i didn't do much. Just a couple of emails and 1 phone call and off we go :)

Sisters and i at Gua Tempurung's entrance

Ha! My sis gonna kill me for this! Hahahaha.. haven't gone into the cave and yet already this expression! :P

In the cave

Again, in the cave but can't see much though

The cave was quite a huge one (top right). The first 1.5 hours was spent on climbing stairs and down of course plus introduction to the cave's this and that. Nothing exciting but got us panting alot though due to all the climbing. If i'm not wrong, there were 400+ steps in total!

The real excitement starts 1.5 hours after that. That was where we need the torchlights. Without it, you can't even see your own hands! That was how dark it is. Pitch black.

Not only the real darkness begins. That was also where the real 'river' adventure began too. I prefer to call it stream however. We needed to go through au naturel tunnels, holes, slopes etc. The most exciting part for me was to move forward like an army thru this tiny hole filled with flowing water/ stream. Crawling wouldn't even do! That was also where i got my bruises from. My entire arms got scratched because of the sharp sands and also 1 big blue back.

The rests were sliding down on the slopes where one of the slopes was 1 storey high and the steepness.. i'd give it 60 degree. That scary!

If we weren't crawling, moving forward like an army or sliding down, we would be moving like a duck or do a hunchback almost all the way. Oh, we also jumped. Jumped into a tiny hole (about 5 feet high) into the stream. No other way but jump. Exciting aye?

After 3 hours of excitement, we were out again. Boy, it felt pretty good to see the sun shines once more after 3 hours of darkness :)

The sisters and i, just came out from the cave. All wet.. from top to toes and inside out too!

A good pair of hiking sandals is a must. I got myself Teva sandals as i would be going for more trips like this. Hehe. But my sisters got theirs from Carrefour. Cheap and okay.

Also, thank god for the helmet! If not for it, i think i would be lying down in the hospital bed right this moment. I knocked my head against the stalactites for countless times, hard. So if you do go, do keep the helmet on at all times.

After caving, we proceeded on to white water rafting but not before our buffet lunch. Food was the only word we could think at that moment. Nothing else :P

Girl power!

Do you know i have 4 sisters and 1 brother?

When all of us gather together, but usually minus my brother, there will be 5 of us, all girls. I love it!

2 weeks ago, all of them came down to S'pore for a short visit. Mainly to see my newborn. (but now can be considered as old baby liao :P)

Even my second sister from Taiwan also came down to visit. It so happened that she came back on that week itself for her gf's wedding you see..

Me ain't telling who's the oldest or the youngest here. Why don't you take a guess?? Grin. But do ignore my mom who couldn't resist joining us even though we did say it was for the sisters only and of course, ignore the baby boy and my nephew too! Heh.

I love family gatherings like this. Really!

I love being near to my sisters and love going out with them too. Seriously, nothing replaces this. We can joke, fight, banter, hit, kick, punch, tease without any restriction and at the end of they day, all will still be good. The bond between us.. simply cannot be explained. They say, blood will always be thicker than water. How very true.. :)

I love my sisters.. i love my family!

So dear readers, having 1 child is really not enough at all. You may think it's enough for you but it's really not so true for your child no matter what or how you think. Siblings' love is nothing like mother's love. It's an entirely different kinda love. So no matter how you make it up to love your only child, it's really not the same.

Best is to have 2 of each gender or 1 shot, all same gender! You can never imagine how fun it is! *wink* (er, poor brother of mine. He's the only male and always gets left out! Hahaha)

However, this is my take of course. To each his/her own yeah? :)

I'm back! :D

Home sweet home~

Nasi lemak, again..

I love eating good nasi lemak.

Being brought up in Malaysia, i'd taken nasi lemak for granted. All along i thought nasi lemak was supposed to be like that but i realised i was wrong after i came to Singapore (ooppsss.. hope i'm not offending anyone by saying this).

Most of the nasi lemak served in hawkers and food court here are not very nice. [aiyoh, i think Singaporeans will start hating me now! Die]

But of course, there are exceptional ones which are extremely good..

For example, the ones that i frequent are Changi Village's, Adam Rd food court's, Tanjong Pagar's and sometimes, Bukit Batok's..

Nevertheless, if possible, i like making my own ;)

With chicken curry or beef rendang.

Sedap!

My super healthy, eat all i want yet guilt free chicken curry :P

Why healthy?

I use skinless and fatless chicken + fresh milk instead of coconut milk, which explains why you can hardly see the 'pleasing to eyes' red colour layer of oil on top.

Again, newspaper as table mat! Paiseh ah! *hide*

Super easy dinner i must say because the chili and ikan bilis are store bought. All i gotta do is cook the rice and curry. Of course, the eggs as well :)

Oh, if you love eating chili with rice, you must try this Singlong sambal chili, as seen in the picture above. It's really really good. Extremely spicy too!!

Now i eat more rice because of that! Eesshh.. Lol.

I need kaki!

Anyone keen on this?

It's foc half day hike at Pulau Ubin by Boac-online.

Email me yeah!

Me don't wanna go alone :(

Pork chop rice

This dish came about when i was craving for pork chop rice, HK cha chan teng's style which i had a couple of days before.

But my version is slightly different, just the rice though.

Instead of the yellow rice served, which looks like nasi kunyit to me, i fried mine with eggs and a pinch of salt and pepper.

The rest was done in the exact style --> deep fried pork chop with bread crumbs, coat it in sweet and sour sauce before baking it in the oven together with a handful of mozzarella cheese on top.

I like!

Apple crumble

Apples overstock.

Thankfully, this apple crumble managed to use up 5. Heh.

I wasn't that confident to bake this at first. Afterall, it was my first pie/tart bake, made from scratch. But it was good. Really!

However, next time, i'll probably add a little sugar to the crust, which was sugar-less. And perhaps, for the apples, i'll not boil it at all.. for more flavour. And and, i will not save my lemons too. A tablespoon of its goodness it is. At most, i'll drink up the rest of the juice just like that. Hehehehe :P

Doesn't sound so perfect afterall yeah?

But it was!

Do i sound convincing enough?

Ha!

p.s: do pardon me, heh. On
'love' high. My whole family [sisters, parents, do, re, mi etc] is here, well.. almost!
