Baby at 12 + weeks
Cant resist to share some of the photos i've taken last week.. :)
And the photo of my tummy? I'm 12+ weeks pregnant already! Everything is getting bigger. Bleah!
Sick again
I've been sick for the past 2 days. It was hell. On top of my usual sickness (nausea, drowsy, throwing up), i got fever, running nose and cough. Think i got the bug from the kids.
How bad can it get? I think if it gets any worst, it'll be hospitalisation already but of course, touch woooooooooooood!
At times like these, i really miss my last week's hb. Sigh. This week's hb has been holding back i know, even though he still sayang me.. The fault was mine :(
If only one can turn back time..

Super Sz!
It's amazing for fast a child can pick up things.
Quite a few days ago, hb and i decided to take out the 2 small wheels from Sz's bicycle so that he can start learning on how to cycle like an adult. So on Saturday evening, we went down to the basketball court to let him learn appropriately for the first time.
There i was, cycling around on my new baby (bicycle) with my youngest son at the back, thinking Sz will take some time to master the skills. So i was nicely cycling for a couple seconds before i heard yay! I turned and i missed the moment! UGH! Sz was already cycling on his own!! Tears started welling up and gosh, i was so proud. I was bursting inside! I was practically screaming 'hao li hai ya' on top of my lungs repeatedly, ignoring the stares from 2 of the basketball players.
I abandoned the bicycle and unfortunately, the youngest son as well (lol) and went running to the court which was less than 20 metres away. I asked hb what did he do? And hb replied, nothing. He simply guided him for less than 5 seconds before letting go and Sz didn't fell and managed to go on cycling on his own.
Sigh. Some mom i am. I should have stayed at the court right from the beginning! And i forgot the camera which i was planning to bring earlier. *kabish myself*
And after that, it was round and round the bicycle went with Sz on it :D
We suspect it was the scooter's doing. Sz has been riding on the scooter couple of months ago (he goes super duper fast on it) and that needs balancing. So does bicycle. That should explains it hor.. ;)

Nightmare
Have been experiencing some really freaky and creepy stuff lately. Think because i am often sick plus the fact that i'm pregnant, seems that my 'jing ya' has been very low. Thus, experiencing stuff that i am not supposed to.
Talked to my gynae about it yesterday. And to my surprise, she didn't brush me off as being silly but instead, told me it's part and parcel of the pregnancy?!?!?! I'm shocked! I didn't go through all these during my first and second and why my third?
Her advice to me is to be strong. Do not be frightened and the more frighten i am, the more i will be in inviting troubles. She does not wish to see me go crazy over it *shudder*
But the thing is, i am the timid type. Very timid when it comes to such issue. For the record, i don't watch horror films at all. I avoid them as much as possible. Most times, hb watches those films alone. And if i do watch, i would be covering my ears and shutting my eyes tightly. I am that scared!
Anyway, i've been sleeping with hb ever since that fateful night and have been avoiding my room for the time being. I will be strong for my own sake. I will not be frightened. I will not hallucinate things but it's so hard especially when i am super wild in imagining things. I can always imagining every possible scenario there is. Sigh.
Please God, help me through this. Don't let me go insane at night. Give me the strength i need. Thank you.

Food food food
I cant sleep again. Why?
Because i'm hungry and i cant stop thinking about food. Why not eat what i have in my kitchen cabinet? Simply not interested. Rather starve.
Right now, i'm thinking of..
- sashimi salad from Sushi Tei
- spinning bowl salad from Lawry's
- medium well steak from Lawry's
- chili crab and fried man tou from Jumbo Seafood
Gosh, help me!
Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all the daddies in the world! :D
Not doing much today, will be buying a cheese cake from Secret Recipe to bring to in laws' house to celebrate. Initially, i wanted to cook for my fil and hb but the thought of cooking turns me off. Oh well, next year yeah!
I'm gonna sing praises in this entry of mine.. about someone :P
Yesterday, hb did a great job as a super dad for bringing 2 boys to zoo alone! I'm shocked and still is. But of course, must be my tips lah! If not, how to be super dad right? *me thick!* lol.
Told hb to get the rent-me-wagon for $15 to 'store' the boys in else they'll be running around like a mad men on loose and i can just imagine how my poor hb's facial reaction will be. Lol. The wagon really did everyone good. The boys were as good as gold! Nicely enjoying their views from the wagon (something new) and of course, enjoying their Wang Wang rice cracker too!
Looking at the pictures and hearing the stories really made me feel so proud.. Proud to have my dear as hb and also my boys *gloating* :D
But i must say, being a good father ain't easy. Most men are not a good daddy to begin with, and so is my hb. It's not that they don't wanna be one, it's more like they don't know how to be one. Grin. They will learn as they go and constantly in need of reminders from the poor MOMMY! *bleah* But for the time being, i must say, you rock our worlds and you'll rock even harder if you can learn to be more relaxed yo.. (to hb) :P
ps: check out my youngest boy's hair cut! Awesome isn't it? I cut them for the very first time yesterday and i've gotten 'eww' for feedback.. hohoho..

Travel : Egypt
Since i can't do entries on food anymore, be it home cooked meals or baking goodies, i'm now channelling my energy to travel entries instead. Another great passion of mine :D
I have been watching tv like a madman these days. From 7pm to 11 or sometimes, even midnight! Mostly watching channel 8 drama series (current fav gotta be CID at 9pm slot) and Starhub's channel 16 : Travel and Living.
Just 2 days ago, i managed to catch a travel documentary on Egypt and it looks so interesting. I have always liked history and no doubt, Egypt is on the top of my list for must travel. But after watching the documentary, i wanna go next year! Grin.
Some tips which i've got from the documentary.
10 places in Egpyt that are a must to go.
10. Mount Sinai : fabulous place to watch sunrise. Breathtaking totally. But one must start hiking (for about 2-3 hours) at 2am to catch the sunrise. It is known as the sacred mountains
9. Karnak : to me, this is a must to go. It's a ruined temple but there is still so much to see. Really awesome. Great for photo takings.
8. Valley of the Kings : the advice is to go as early as you can to avoid the tourists. Mostly tombs there and each person is allowed to see only 3 tombs in a day. But a MUST see tomb there belongs to King Tut who died at the age of 18. His toms is in an almost perfect condition. It's amazing that one can be so close to Son of Egypt who lived thousands of years ago.
7. Abydos : if u are travelling on free and easy, the advice is to take a taxi there. Again, Abydos is a burial place for the first kings of a unified Egypt. It is also believed that King Scorpion was buried here as well or that he was a known figure. Another great place.
6. Amarna : known as the lost city. At first sight, it doesn't look anything significant at all. But if you are looking from a bird's view, you will see the remaining of the lost city. Everything was destroyed after the King (who was the first to believe in only 1 God - The Sun) died.
5. Saqqara : this is where the first step pyramid was built
4. Dashur : this is where the Red Pyramid is. The Red Pyramid was the first successful, true, cased pyramid built in Egpyt, ushering in the era of the Giza style pyramids. One of the pyramids is open for visitors
3. Giza Pyramids : i guess this place does not need much introduction at all. Not all the pyramids are opened to visitors. Each year, 1 pyramid will be closed to let rest for the whole year while others are still opened for tourists.
2. The Great Sphinx : located at the front of the Giza Pyramids. Guess we wont be seeing the Great Sphinx today if not for the French General who 'rescued' it.
Last but not least, the number 1 spot goes to Cairo Museum. Seems like there is so much to see there that you wont be able to finish in 1 day. The tip is to see the artifacts / historical objects be it half or whole of the places that you will be visiting or have visited. It's more significant that way.

Enjoy :D

Dislikes
Yes, i'm not in bed. Surprise!
I think i'm having insomia. Have not been able to sleep for the past few nights even though i was dead tired. Biggest regret i have today (opps, i mean yesterday) is forgetting to ask doc to prescribe me sleeping pills or any kinda medication that will make me drowsy.
I know it's bad but i have no choice. If i don't get enough sleep at night, i am sure to be sick the next day. And without fail, i'd nap through the afternoon. Then at night, my eyes would be 0 0 starring at the ceiling. So abnormal! Hence, i need pills / medication fast!
For my own record, my dislikes during this pregnancy (i know, boring.. pregnancy again *yawn*) but like i said, for my own record mah *bleah* :P
Things that i dislike :
- shower (will drag and drag till bedtime and after that, i get sick for bathing so late. Yes, i've got proves that bathing late can make me sick esp so if i'm washing my hair on the day)
- cooking (weird)
- baking (even weirder)
- smell of cooking and baking (enough said!)
- to talk about food unless i start it
- the look of home cooked food
- shopping! (must be the morning sickness ah)
Food that i dislike :
- any kind of home cooked food (uh huh, i've stopped eating at home. We are way over our budget now. So, folks.. u know what to do yeah? *wink*wink*)
- rice (something new because i used to be a 'fan tong'. Cant do without rice)
- prawn)
- orange)
- apple
Soothing food :
- bread with peanut butter
- milo
- pineapple *hide*
- red bean bun
- taro bread
Cant stand :
- travelling from one place to another, by any form of transportation
- cold. I sleep without aircon nor fan these days. Plus, i'm covered with blankie.
I must have gone mad.

Hb accompanied me to gynae today. I was supposed to go alone but was too sick to do so. So, i called to cancel my appointment. Told hb this and he said that he'd go with me. Yay! (it's been ages since he went with me. Always working)

Total cost : $109.83
Happy day today even though i'm very sick.. :)

Steamboat update
Seems like the girls are more keen on Chong Qing at Tangling. So Chong Qing it is..
I've called to make reservation for this Sat, 7pm for 6 pax (is it too early? let me know. Thought can go shopping there after :P)
Price: $29.90 due to 'festive season' [read: Father's day]
Normally, they'll charge $26.90 per pax on normal weekends. For soup base, we'll be having half half, mala and chicken broth. Hopefully the price is ok else we'll go to the one at Suntec, Joaquim which costs about $26++ (not much diff yeah?)
Let me know soon yeah! Can't wait.. :P~

Heritage again
Hb and i went to Heritage again. Initially, wanted to go Muthu's Curry at Little India (one of our frequently visit restaurants) but hb was pretty keen to try on Heritage after hearing my raves.
Unfortunately, this second time round, food was pretty disappointing. Don't ask me why but it could that we ordered the wrong dish. This time, we had the same house specialty mutton briyani with chicken vindaloo, mixed season curry vegetables, garlic naan and lime juice.
Vindaloo and the vegetable were not that good. To hb, the briyani wasn't as yummy as well compare to the one he had in India.
For the time being, i think i've had enough of Indian food already. Thank god for citibank's card promotion, which entittled us to 15% discount off total bill. Till then, it's noodles for me everyday!
And currently, i'm desperately craving for tom yum steamboat. Boo hoo.

Blah!
I got fatter!
So what if i didn't eat that much? I still got fatter.. Sigh.
Wonder where the fats come from.. Could it be because :
1- i hardly walk more than 100M a day?
2- first thing i do after eating is to lie down?
3- all i do daily is eat, sleep, lie down?
I think so!
My waist got thicker.
My arms got bigger.
I can no longer wear tight fitting clothings. Feel too disgusting in them. Dislike looking at myself at the mirror these days. Ironically, the tummy isn't even showing yet and i'm getting fat so soon? Ugh!
Aihh.. Cant wait till i birth! *bleah*
P.s: Will be having KFC tonight before picking up in laws from airport. Yippeee~ :P

Cafe Iguana
Had my dinner there with my sisters last night. The only night that i felt OK in the end but the same cannot be said when we first went out. I almost died!
Was craving for Mexican food for sometime and going there with my sisters is the best option. The only time we have more than 2 diners, else food cant be finished :P
My second younger sis is currently here in S'pore working on a project for a month. But every weekend, she gets to fly home to KL to see the family. She checks in to the hotel on Monday and checks out on Friday. Best of all, her hotel changes weekly!
For the time being, she's at Gallery Hotel and next week, she'll be putting up at Crown Princess Hotel. Definitely good news for us [me and kids] because we get to go to her room and turn it upside down! Lol.
As for the youngest sis, she was here to visit me since last week, er, not really ah when i come to think of it. She goes out almost everyday without me, that brat! *bleah* Anyway, she's now on the way home already :(
So, last night was the best night to meet up. We had tortilla chips with salsa, quasadillas, grilled chicken fajitas and shredded steak burito. We were filled up to the throat! Hehe..
My fav dish gotta be the grilled chicken fajitas. The rest are not too bad but when you are eating so much flour tortillas, cheese and tomato salsa at a time, the food does become abit 'geli' after sometime. Therefore, the advice is not to order so much of almost the same food! :P
Signing off.. going to lie down again. Sigh. This gotta be my toughest pregnancy so far. Erm.. probably i've forgotten the other 2 so this time round, i felt it's really tough on me. Sigh.

Yay!
My mom and sis are here!! :D
Just satisfied my 'lao shu fen' dried version craving by my mommy. I'm a happy girl. Grin.
Unfortunately, mom's going back tomorrow afternoon and sis is here to stay till Friday. Currently having her summer holidays - 3 months!
I love company. Good company that is. Hehe..

Heritage - The North Indian Food
I was very very sick yesterday. Dressing up sans make up (totally not up to it anymore) to go out proved to be a very difficult task. No joke! :P
But for some reasons, when i was in the restaurant - Heritage at 6th Avenue, i immediately felt healthy and not pregnant again. Weird but true. It could be :
1. i needed to go out
2. the companion
3. the food
I love Indian food. Been craving for it since Saturday. Imagine the pleasure i had when i savoured my first bite. Heaven. Lol.
Livia and i ordered chicken masala, House specialty - mutton briyani and garlic naan (*whoa*). It was yummilicious! The chicken and mutton was surprisingly tender and juicy. And the naan, needless to say, was perfect especially when it was dipped into the masala. But we didn't get to finish the food though. The serving was a tad huge for both of us.
The next time when i go again (which i think very s-o-o-n), i'll order the set meal. Seems much more worth it and i get to sample 3 curries instead of 1. Was too 'gan chiong' to order last night. Totally missed the set meal section. Blush.
And the ambience + service? Posh, cozy and lovely :)

Rave
It has been sometime since i last had a very memorable dream and guess what? I had it this morning. Simply wonderful :D
The dream really left me smiling when i woke up and boy, i wished i didn't have to wake up! Unfortunately, due to the hot weather, i woke up automatically without finishing my dream. Ugh. What a waste. Tried my best to 'resume' back my dream after that but nevertheless, failed. Lol.
Would love to share my dream but i can't because there's a green eye monster lurking around here all the time. Lol.
*smile dreamily*
Hohohohohoho
