Bad mommy!

*ahem*

That's me.

I've been teaching boy1 quite a bit these days and boy, i am very bad.

I am very very ashamed of myself you know.

I've been impatient. Very. I mean, how could he not understand?

Proper nouns and common nouns. Give examples.

Cannot?!?!?!

And the rotan 'sits' right in front of him *hide*.

Sigh.

I can just imagine the boy's fear whenever i say homework time! [he told me so during normal conversation time] I am so very terrible :(

And and the thing is, i don't even remember knowing what were proper nouns and common nouns when i was 9! *runs away*.

Me must change.

Me will change.

Poor boy1.. for having me as his mommy.

Double sighs :((

Mood : terribly upset

Cherie,

You are not the only one doing this to your boy... me too... We as parent want the kids learn very fast and we are so impatient, end up canning the kids...

At the end, I decided to send them for tuition.. it works because the kids respect the teachers more and learned faster... maybe we are outdated lah.. teachers have new method of teaching.. money really pay off.

No more pain and headache...

regards
Yokie

*Guilty as charged*
U are never alone on this.

I have no patience...but I think it boils down to the expectations.
As a parent I set too high a standard for the kid. *poor child* haha!

If I teach a few times, still dunno...my BP will rise...then the mama will explode.

I have been told by son ...not to be angry when he duno his work. He even made a pack with me..to control my temper. Imagine a child more sensible then the adult. He also never fail to remind me..that
"I am just a child...I can make a few mistake"
*sigh* .. very sad hor!!!

I will join U in the repentance journey!!! {{{haha}}}

yokie : but i really wanna teach them myself. Hehe... yeah, i know tuition classes and enrichment schools work wonders but i'm gonna hang on!

Giving myself a second chance :P

paw paw : aihhss.. me too. My expectation is also very high. I expect them to know after a 1-2 repetition. Very bad.

Grin. Your son does sound very sensible!

Yeah! We shall be a better mother from now on!

Another new resolution for this year ;)

Hi Cherie...I'm not sure if this will help you but I find this book to be excellent in educating your child in grammar and vocabulary:

First Aid in English:

Awww... bless you Stef!!

Read the reviews in Amazon, it sure sounds like a good book! Will take a look at it when i go down to Borders this weekend, if they have one.

Or Popular since it's more homework books/assesment books/ teaching books oriented.
