Will be going out again today. More visiting and a kiddo's birthday party to attend to. Watched Memoirs of a Geisha yesterday, finally! Hmm.. probably my expectation was too high, i actually found the movie slightly boring for me. Abit long winded and slow. Surprisingly, hb loves it lots.

After movie, went to Changi Village for nasi lemak. Yes, all the way there from Suntec to Changi then back to my house. We are such a foodie! Plus we like travelling so it was ok.. I love the nasi lemak there. My fav stall has to be Mizzy's Corner although the International stall has the longest q.. Another attraction they have at Changi Village is 'ah kua' = transvestites (sp?). They are so darn sexy! The clothes they wear barely cover anything but hey, they've got the best bods man. Such long legs and big boobies. I cant stop 'admiring' them

It was 1st day of CNY yesterday. Time flies!

It has been more than a week since i last sat down and blog - the KL's entry not counted :P Ever since coming back from KL, i've been so busy with CNY preparations and spring cleaning to really sit down and use the pc. So much things happened and yet no time to blog it down. And in a while more, i will be going out again to pai nian. Was already out the whole of yesterday and today, same thing again. Give angpows out till no more! *scary* Lol.. Busy busy busy but happy busy :D Definitely prefer it this way than staying at home with nothing to do... It happens only once a year plus it feels more like CNY :)

I cant believe this! I'm actually at Cybercafe near my house. Even though there are 1 desktop, 2 laptops in my house, i still have to come here to access the internet! Arrghh.. Sis' internet acc has 0 money in it that's y.. :P

I must say, this trip ain't my trip at all.. i have not bought anything till now! Unbelievable right? Didn't see anything i fancy or rather, the only time i went shopping was yesterday with my sisters at MidV for a couple of hours only. Didnt manage to browse the ground floor - which has the most stuff coz we started from above. What a waste!

However, my youngest sister bought the fab skirt from this ah-lian looking boutique and i totally love it! Price : RM39.90 ONLY and it was the last piece. Even my 2nd sis digs it! Sigh. Not destined to have it i guess. Am thinking to go KLCC today ALONE to do some serious shopping.. hehe. Hopefully i wont be too lazy by the time i get back later..:P

The only stuff i bought is Mac Studio Fix which i need desperately and 14 pcs of DVDs! *woot woot* Haha..

Right, time to go and get ready for more shopping ladies.. Hope i'll come back with bags and bags of shoes and clothings.. *poor hb's pocket* :D

Dear gurlfrens,

I will be away from tonight till next Saturday. Going back to KL.. *yes*yes*yes*! :D

The house will surely burst man.. with my sisters, kids, parents, brother in laws etc, wah, think i'll just faint 'happily'. Hahaha.. It's been sometime since the whole lot of us gather together at the same time. Perhaps years! Ever since we have our own children, going back to mom's place at the same time is really a BIG headache. So many kids and so little space and so much noise! So i usually avoid that.

Honestly, part of me screams 'Don't go back! It'll be a crazy house.' But then, it's been quite sometime really.. I miss having dinner together at the same time, yakking and yakking away, the girly chats we had in the room at night and most importantly, shopping! And i need to renew my IC, so does my second sister from Taiwan. So we'll be doing it together..

Anyway, this is what i bought since Tuesday from MPhosis and FEP.. Not much actually and surprisingly.. haha. I'm such a good girl!




Black off shoulder top with lace trimming and beige pleated skirt from MPhosis, green retro looking top, brown peasant top from FEP and last but not least, earrings from Forever 21. Love them all!

Besides clothings, i also got myself a whole new set of 6 piece Conningware and 2 pyrex baking dishes. Now i can finally bake pies, tarts, casseroles and lots of other yummy goodies with my new 'play toys' .. hehe

Er... actually, is not a very good thing isn't it? This would mean that i will be growing sideways very soon aye? *gasp* OH-NO!

Dinner

This was what we had for dinner last night upon boss' request, Marinara Pizza made by me from scratch! Basically, it only had prawns, squids and mussels on it, of course, not forgetting lots and lotsa mozarella and parmesan cheese

What i dislike is the kneading part. So tiring! Imagine after shopping for whole day, still need to go back and knead knead knead.. *ke lian ah* Oi Boss! Better reward me hor! :P

I wasn't aware of it at all. Went to dentist yesterday for my monthly check up and i was told that i had signs to it. No wonder i always bleed whenever i brush my teeth. I was quite surprised when i was told about it coz i always thought i have the healthiest teeth around! Never had a bad tooth before nor any filling or whatsoever. I was pretty shocked. But then, teeth and gum are 2 different stories aye? :P

My gum got into such state because i didn't floss my teeth and didn't really brush properly. I'm wearing braces currently. So the space after the bracket on my lower half teeth always got neglected. Thus, bacteria starts to attack the area and left me in my current state.

If this goes on unnoticed for another few weeks, i would have gotten the above and the worst is, the condition is irreversible!

Now what i have to do daily is to floss diligently, going deep down to the root of all the teeth hard and strong *ouch*, not just stop in the middle of 2 teeth. Must go all the way in, following the shape of the teeth. I never knew we could floss till like that.. It's really 'eerie', painful, bloody and yucky but i have to and i dread it to bits!

Facial

After 2 months of procrastinating, i finally had my facial today. A very much needed one..

My therapist was commenting how clogged my pores were and if i don't do anything about it, they will gradually turn from white heads to lump? :P

Anyway, the extraction was really a torture! My eyes were clouded with so much tears and yet, cant really roll down coz i was too engrossed in 'squeezing' my eyes shut, not that i want to but cant help it coz it was so so unbearable. My whole body was twisting and turning not knowing how else to ease the pain while being tortured up there Sigh. The price that we have to pay in the name of vain/beauty

Funny thing is when i went to SKII Spa at Scotts Road for facial a couple of months back (redeemed from my SKII points, else too ex for me-cant afford it :P ) the therapist was so superb that i didn't feel much pain during the whole extraction process. I did tell her that my pain threshold is very low and she took note of it. She did it so gently that it is almost impossible to believe that she can manage to get my 'stuff' out but u know what, she really did get them all out *nodding head* Yep, she's that good! And also, the service was impeccable plus the bed they provide was actually a massage bed. Imagine, not only your face is being pampered, at the same time, your legs, hands and back get to be massaged too! Heaven isn't it? Aihh.. too bad i'm not a millionaire's wife

Will be hitting Orchard Road for my last round of shopping before CNY as i'll be going back to KL on Friday night till next Friday.. Shopping, here i come again! Hee hee..

psstt: I actually did a small shopping spree after my facial today. Bought 2 lovely items from MPhosis and yes, one of it is the off shoulder top which i've been lemming for. I'm a happy girl

Missed my fav class today! Reason? I was in the toilet for too long

Baked bread and butter pudding last night and the result was 'half' disappointing. The first half was yummy but when it comes to the bottom half, total failure. I think it was because of my baking timing, i only baked for 30 mins instead of the instructed timing of 45 mins. Really didn't know what i was thinking!

Papa sun is back finally.. after MIA for close to a week! I've got tons and tons of laundry waiting to be done and the smell isn't exactly inviting y'know

I love the hi tea at Shangri La! Simply fabulous. The spread is not overly huge but good enough for me. The food was really yummy. In total, we went for 7 rounds! Everything there was to die-for. Be it the main or the desserts *slurrp* Poor tummy, it got so big that i thought i was gonna burst. Hahaha. I'll definitely go back there again.. The ambience and atmosphere have got the romantic, comfortable feeling plus the wet weather factor, the combination is amazing!

As you can see, we were being seated next to the window. Throughout the whole 3+ hours, it was drizzling non-stop. It was really a fine place to just sit, yak, eat and sipping hot tea from 101 selection of teas. Total bliss

What they serve. Basically a little mixture of everything. They have Western, Japanese, Asian, Salad corner, bread, buns and bagels with cheese and butter and most important of all, desserts! Love their bread and butter pudding so much that i'm now craving for it! :P

Honestly, does my gf look pregnant to you? I think not (if you ignore her tummy) although she is almost 8 months pregnant. And what's more is that she is not only a mother to 1 or 2 kids, but soon to be a mother of 3 lovely children! No joke. 3 kiddos of her own! Amazing isn't it? Some moms are just so blessed

Found another must-eat for me whenever i go out shopping is Old Chang Kee's fried squids head. Sounds yucky but it's delicious! Dribble some chili sauce on it and it's heaven! *so sinful but worth the calories lol* Had it yesterday at Orchard while shopping. Yep, been shopping again but it's for the kiddos. How i wished it was for me!

Also, i'm a huge fan of Crystal Jade Bakery's Taro sweet bread recently. It has huge chunks of yam in the bread which was fantastic for a 'ohh-nee' lover like me! Plus, it ain't sweet at all. Just nice ;) Found out about it when i was out with Livia last week for dinner at Holland V. I love it so much that i can eat 4 slices at one go and Livia can only eat one! I'm such a big eater.. hohoho

ps: "ohh-nee" is a mashed sweetened yam, a Teochew dessert

Friends?

I have been left wondering for a couple of weeks now, wondering what did i do to deserve such treatment from her ... *sigh*

What are friends?

For me, it's usually no. 1..

I became pretty close to this particular gf of mine for quite sometime now. Whenever she sees me online, she will not hesitate to say Hello and we can chat for hours! We go out together, sometimes hang out in the same group and we even share the same passion and interest most of the time.

I thought she had became one of my close gfs whom i can really relate to or be there when she's needed and most importantly, someone i can really talk to about anything and everything but i was wrong. I felt so.. betrayed and frustrated for not knowing what causes it *sigh* But then again, when you give something willingly, you cant expect the same to be given back. There is no equality when it comes to friendship, something i've learnt from my dear hb sometime back.

Lately, whenever we are both online, it is always me to initiate the conversation first. At first i thought maybe she was busy or something, not free to chat bla bla bla but it doesn't look like it anymore. It's been a couple of weeks since we last had a proper chat. She no longer says Hello anymore or if we do chat, she'll end it shortly after. What's ironic is that when we do chat, it's like back to old times again. Same friendliness filled with excitement.

*sigh* I know she has closed the chapter to our friendship and i, on the other hand, will not pursue it further anymore. I've given up. Whatever it is, i think she has her own reasons to her actions. No doubt, it does bother me as i am someone who really value the meaning of true friendship. It really saddens me to see what have became of us She was really a wonderful friend. The lost is mine.

Today is my PIG's birthday. Er, how old are you again? 39? 40? Sorry yeah, can't remember but i think you look around there lah

I think God is so unfair sometimes. Hb is 32 this year and yet, he doesn't look a day older than 28/29? I really hate it *green eyes monster more it seems lol* when people/ strangers commenting how young hb looks and me, on the other hand, always have people guessing the wrong age! Mind you, if they were to guess a number lesser than my real age, i would be thrilled to death but no, it is always the opposite!

I don't wanna look older than what i really am However, i don't mind if hb looks like 36 or even 37 but i think that is so impossible coz hb is blessed with 'boyish look'. And the fact that he is lanky and tall doesn't help much either.. Oh well, i'll just keep my fingers cross that by the time i'm 40, i will still look younger than hb or rather, as long as hb looks older than me, i'm fine

There'll be dinner tonight with my in laws at some chinese restaurant. After that, hb and i will be off to watch "The Dark" *shudder*. I really dislike horror shows coz i'm a scaredy cat but today different ah, give in to the birthday boy loh. Kinda pity him as well..hehe, it's been months since he last watched one. Horror movies are his fav!

We actually had the birthday cake last night. Emicakes' durian cake (D24) rocks! We managed to finish everything last night. Shows how good it is yeah? I had 2 large slices of it *burrp* Totally yummy!


That's the problem taking photos with the kids in it these days. Both can never look at the camera at the same time! Grrr.. It's always one look, the other doesn't or the other way round, just like the photos above
